Squaw Valley
Squaw Valley opened in 1949
with one chair lift, a rope tow, and a lodge. Today, Squaw
Valley is one of the world's premier destination resorts with year-
round recreation and first-class accommodations. Squaw Valley's hosting
of the 1960 Winter Olympic is Squaw Valley's most notable achievement,
and a turning point in the development of California skiing.
Intrawest/Squaw Valley Corp. built The New Village at Squaw
in 2000 with luxurious condos ranging in price from $400,000 to $1,850,000.
The surrounding Valley offers everything from vintage 1960's cabins to
luxury view homes, condos, townhouses, timeshares and undeveloped home
sites. Homes in the surrounding Valley run anywhere from $1,000,000 to
upwards of $4,100,000.
The Squaw Valley/Intrawest renaissance began in April of
2000 with the construction of First Ascent (New Village at Squaw Phase
I) and Phase II with 22 Station is currently well underway.
